Key confirmations before shooting

  • Confirm the destination country, application type, and stage
  • Distinguish between in-country and out-of-country applications (requirements may differ)
  • Whether the official process requires “printed photos + scanned upload”
  • Whether specific pixel values or color requirements are required
  • On-site shooting is available; booking in advance is required

Shooting and production standards

  • Front-facing, with face and shoulders centered
  • Multiple frames are taken, with sufficient selections
  • Natural expression, lips closed, no teeth showing
  • Ears, eyebrows, and neck visible
  • Pure white background or the official required background
  • Even lighting; no shadows, reflections, or glare
  • Retouching is limited to minor skin tone, light/shadow, and detail cleanup
  • Reshooting is available on site if you are not satisfied
  • Do not wear accessories that affect facial recognition, such as jewelry, earrings, decorative contact lenses, etc.

File and technical requirements (important)

  • File formats: JPEG / JPG / PNG / PDF (as required by the authority)
  • Size ratio: strictly follow pixel/inch/mm requirements (e.g., 50mm × 70mm, 51mm × 52mm, 600px × 600px)
  • Face proportion: top of head to chin must fall within the official range
  • Pixel requirements: generated according to the online system prompts

Source of digital files:

  • Must be generated from a 1:1 scan of the original photo
  • Not simply an exported file directly from the camera shoot

Back-of-photo information (if required by PR authorities)

  • Studio name (English) and address
  • Date the photo was taken
  • Applicant’s name and date of birth
  • Compliance stamp

Delivery

  • Digital file for official uploads
  • Standard-size printed photos
  • Different backup versions can be provided (email/WeChat/disc/USB), depending on use

Important statements

  • Even if an upload system temporarily accepts the file, non-compliant photos may still be rejected later and require resubmission
  • We will do our best to ensure compliance with known official standards, but online systems and policies can change
  • Rejection due to policy changes or application materials is not considered an image quality issue
  • We do not produce any ID photos that clearly violate official requirements

In special cases, we can reshoot free of charge and provide a full refund, but we do not assume any other liability.

We don’t only take or produce images—we are responsible for their compliance, clarity, and long-term value in real-world use.
Important images deserve to be treated seriously.
